As you know, I have been so busy with school, product creation and other things in my life, I haven’t had a lot of time to devote to my blog.
I still maintain my blog and answer comments when they are left on it, but a lot of the focus has been taken away from it.
Why Do I Spend Less Time Blogging?
When I first started this blog, I was blogging everyday, that it finally ended up feeling like a chore. I then cut back and started blogging once per week.
I thought that was a great schedule to keep, so I put my head down and kept up my blogging schedule.
Sometimes I found myself waking up at 2:00 a.m. just to try to get a new post published. (which was crazy now that I think about it.)
However, what I came to realize is that the blogging was NOT paying the bills. It didn’t matter how many blogs I stopped by to comment on or how many blog posts I wrote, I barely made enough to pay my monthly hosting account.
Now I choose to spend most of my time creating products instead of blogging.
No I won’t be letting this blog disappear and I will still blog on it when I have something to say or to share.
We all start down a path that we think is the right one and make changes along the way.
I don’t think that there is anything wrong with that, as long as we all pursue a path that we really enjoy.
Life’s too short to do things that you don’t enjoy doing.
I choose to spend my time creating products because that is what I enjoy and that is what is paying the bills.
Another reason that I enjoy creating products is because it’s easier to scale my profits as opposed with blogging.
You Only Have 24 Hours In A Day
There’s only 24 hours in a day and if blogging is working for you and helping you pay the bills…then great you can continue doing that.
I however, choose to spend my time on things that help me move forward towards my income goals.
If you’re anything at all like me, you don’t outsource a lot of things that you do. When I create a new product, I do all the work myself.
The only part of the product creation that I outsource is the graphics if I need them.
I have realized that I enjoy creating products a lot more than I do writing blog posts. It’s an amazing feeling when someone picks up one of your products and tells you that it has helped them make a difference in their lives.
These type of remarks has made me want to create even more products.
While I love creating products, I realize that it requires a lot more work than blogging. I don’t mind the challenge because I really enjoy it.
What Is Working For You?
Maybe you have found that blogging works for you and earns you great money. If so then congrats and I would stick with it if I were you, especially if you enjoy it.
I however, have realized that I don’t enjoy keeping my blog updated on a regular basis.
I know several product creators who don’t keep their personal blogs updated on a regular basis. Yet they seem to do very well with their product creation and internet marketing business.
As I mentioned above, I won’t be letting this blog disappear or won’t stop completely blogging. But I won’t be blogging as often as I used to.
