Responsible For My Own Success Online – I Don’t Need A JV Partner

29 Flares Filament.io 29 Flares ×

As internet marketers we are always told that it’s impossible to be successful without a JV Partner. But the truth is that you’re responsible for your own success online.

While I have to admit that it’s definitely possible to reach success faster if you have a JV partner, but I refuse to keep looking for one.

In fact, I am not even going to be using my JV blog that I set up or hold affiliate contest. The reason I won’t hold an affiliate contest, is because I won’t have any affiliates when I release my product.

I Thought I Had Found A JV Partner

I spent some time reaching out or (trying) to reach out to other people. Yet no one really gave me the time of day. Why? Well I’m not well-known and I have just gotten into product creation.

No one wants to work with a NOBODY, who has not proven themselves.

To tell you the truth, I can’t really blame them. After all if I were in their shoes, would I really want to work with someone like me? Probably not, especially if I hadn’t really sold a lot of my own products.

So I’ve decided that I’m going to do it myself. I am tired of waiting around for someone to help me build my business.

I have no doubt that I can do it myself, I don’t mind the work. As a matter of fact, I’ve never shied away from hard work.

So anyway, I was talking to someone on the Warrior Forum. I was ready to launch my product with him and split the profits 50/50.

However, he wanted me to change everything inside my product. I like the way that it’s set up and I feel like I have a lot of value inside the membership site.

I am not willing to revamp everything and go back to the drawing board because a partner wants me to.

Why I decided to build my business by myself?

  • I no longer have to listen to what others think about my business.
  • I get full control of what I want to do.
  • I’ve never been good at following orders…why do you think I am not an employee.
  • I am actually going to get it released before I go back to school.

Now don’t get me wrong, I am not opposed to listening to people. As a matter of fact, I made a lot of tweaks to my Traffic Domination Guide because some people who purchased the course recommended the changes.

However, I am not willing to bend over backwards because a partner (who is not a huge guru) wants me to change things.

So after careful consideration and against the advice of my online coach…I have stopped looking for a JV partner and am being responsible for my success online.

Slow And Steady Wins The Race

If you followed along with me on my flipping websites challenge, then you know that I’m not about home runs in making money.

I don’t believe that there are any programs out there that you can use to help you earn money online without putting some effort into it.

I will be releasing my product as a WSO again, but a little bit different than the Traffic Domination Guide.

In my next post, I will reveal everything that I did to set up my WSO. I won’t be using Warrior Plus this time around.

I learned quite a bit from releasing the WSO earlier.

Don’t Sit Around And Wait For Others To Make You Successful

Releasing a product can be scary and the morning that you release it you will be experiencing butterflies in your stomach.

As a matter of fact, as I write this post, my little voice keeps telling me that I should keep looking for a JV partner.

If you have a product sitting on your computer and you know that it is jam packed with value that can help others, get it out to people.

Stop waiting for others to help make you successful. When you started blogging, you did not wait for others to help you out.

No, chances are you learned as much as you could to help about setting up your blog and then you did everything that you could to have success.

Well the same goes with product creation. Sure you may release your product and may not sell 1,000′s of copies or may not even sell 100′s.

But just because you release one product, does not mean that you will never create another product. Once you start creating products, you will be creating several products.

The best part is that each and every time that you release a product, you will learn a little more. Not only that, but hopefully you will sell a little more copies every time you release a new product.

Why I Will Be Using The Warrior Forum

I really like the Warrior Forum, because it is jam packed with traffic that is willing to buy. Sure I could drive traffic to my sales page and I will use that method as well.

But setting up a WSO is cheap compared to paying for adwords. (unless you know what you’re doing)

It only costs $40 to run a WSO and believe me, if your product is somewhat decent, you should not have an issue making your money back.

When I launched my first product I didn’t have an OTO when I first ran my WSO. I was still able to make a small profit.

My Flippin Profits Exposed membership site will have an OTO and a downsell so, I have no doubt that I will be able to be profitable.

The one thing that I do know about the Flippin Profits Exposed Membership site is that I have provided a ton of value that will be very beneficial to anyone who purchases.

Stay Tuned For My WSO Results

Just like my first WSO, I will be providing you with the stats of my sales and anything else that I feel like can help you out when you decide to release yours.

I realize that I’m not an expert when it comes to releasing WSO’s. However, I am not one to let anything slow me down and I am always willing to learn.

Would you take the slow and steady pace to success if you were unable to find a JV Partner? Or would you rather spend several more weeks or months trying to contact more potential JV Partners in hopes of getting quicker results?

    Hi Susan,

I would start alone, of course. First time I want to start alone and hit each and every roadblocks possible. Then I will learn all the lesson I can and make a better product.

Next, I WILL find a JV partner. Actually the search for a JV partner must be constant. Not just for the actual product. You must search them every day. Then you filter them and finally select the best ones.
I think it is better this way.

    Have a wonderful day

      Hi Silviu,

I agree with you that looking for a JV partner is a continuous thing and should be done on a regular basis. However, I don’t believe that I should hold off on releasing my product hoping that I will find a JV partner.

I have decided to release my product again without a JV partner because I don’t want to keep putting it off. I realize that this is the slowest way to success, but then the great thing is that I’m not relying on someone else to help me out.

This doesn’t mean that I won’t find a JV partner for my next product. Just means that I am moving forward without waiting on someone to help me.

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment. I hope you have a great day. null

Success is self-driven, and with all of the “competition” today, a sense of urgency, but not stress, is what will divide between success and failure.

    Good Luck!

    • IM With Susan Velez December 23, 2013 at 10:01 am #

      Hi Amiti,

I agree with you that if you are dealing with stress and need to make money, chances are you will not. I also believe that you need to take action and move forward with your goals.

Otherwise you will never reach your goals online.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment, I hope you have a great day. null

    Hi Susan,

Congratulations on moving ahead on your own and sticking with your own beliefs about your product. I am so happy to hear you didn’t start changing stuff just because one person said to.

I wish you great success in 2014 and I look forward to hearing more about what you are doing.

    • IM With Susan Velez December 23, 2013 at 4:27 pm #

      Hi Monna,

Thanks for your support, I feel like I’ve waited long enough to release my product. It’s time to get it out there. I know some people who were able to have success on there own without waiting around for a JV Partner.

While I don’t mind making some changes or additions to my product, however, not willing to bend over backwards for someone just because he says to. He is not even a huge guru who makes tons of sales…that’s another reason I wasn’t willing to change my product.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and leave a comment, I look forward to getting to know you better in 2014. null

    Hey Susan,

I think you’re doing the right thing for yourself. I would do the same if I was you. It may be a slow process, but you’ll get more experience and of course you’ll make yourself a lot more attractive to others. This will make it a lot more easier for you to find a JV partner. So yes, focus more on yourself so you can attract the right people!

    • IM With Susan Velez December 25, 2013 at 8:33 am #

      Hi Sherman,

Glad to hear that you would do the same thing as I would. I’ve waited long enough and then when I thought that I had someone, it didn’t work out.

As you said, eventually as I get more experience and learn some things, I think that finding a JV partner will be easier. So for now, I will do it on my own. I don’t mind the long journey, as long as I reach my goals.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and I’ll talk to you later. null

    Hello,

I too prefer working along, since it will make us do whatever we want and we can do anything we want. Yes! you are right about “Slow And Steady Wins The Race” and by doing alone we can learn a lot of thing on our own.

    Thanks

    • IM With Susan Velez December 27, 2013 at 9:41 am #

      Hi Anil,

I’m glad that you agree with me about the “slow and steady” part. I know that getting a partner would mean quicker results. However, I’ve been putting off my product release for over 2 months now…it’s time to stop waiting.

Maybe the next product that I create I will have a partner to release it with? If not I will just continue doing it alone. I know several people who have gotten success without having to rely on anyone else.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment, I hope you have a great day. null

    Hi Susan,

Although I haven’t experienced this but i know exactly how it feels. i agree with what Silviu said, Start alone then find a partner in the next step.

Congratulations on taking a brave step and I wish you succes. I might be late but…Merry Christmas, hope it all went well.

    • IM With Susan Velez December 27, 2013 at 9:39 am #

      Hi Gilbert,

I am still looking and networking with others, but my main thing is that I don’t want to hold off any longer just because I don’t have a partner. I know that I can reach success faster, if I have a partner.

There will always be another product I can launch with someone. After all, this won’t be last one I create.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and I did have a very nice Christmas. I hope you did as well. I’ll talk to you later. null

    Hi Susan,

Good luck with your second WSO! And yeah, the Warrior Forum really does have a TON of traffic to bring in sales.

Also congrats on your website flipping thing! That was definitely an interesting series you shared and I’m going to have to maybe try that myself sometime.

I hope your doing great and keep us posted!

    • IM With Susan Velez December 29, 2013 at 7:54 am #

      Good Morning Josh,

First of all, thanks and I just posted about my second WSO results. Still not that great, but better than the first one. I think that as long as I keep putting out great quality WSO’s the sales will pick up because I will become better known.

I’m glad that you enjoyed my short flipping series. I should’ve started sooner, but have so much on my plate I just can’t do long challenges.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and I’ll talk to you later. null

    Hi Susan,

I am so glad you decided to do this alone! Your product has to be YOU….everything you have to offer and I’m sure it’s a good one.

I too am releasing a product with my husband. We brainstorm all the time and also hired a coach for product creation to get it done on a timely basis. And then a marketing coach who keeps looking at our technique and giving us some advice.

But no way would I ever change a product from a JV person! I don’t care if it was even a guru lol.

Kudos to you and I cannot wait for the “unveiling”

      Good Morning Donna,

I agree with you that the product tells people what kind of products you put out. That’s the reason that I put out quality products.

I look forward to your product release. I know that you will do great with it, especially since you have a marketing coach.

Let me know how it goes. I’ll talk to you later. null

  9. Dorian March 1, 2014 at 12:36 am #

    Hi Susan,

I guess your post fits with the question I wanted to ask you. I recently purchased your product on how to find problems, although I haven’t been through the videos yet.

On average how many ebooks will sell on JVzoo if I don’t have any affiliates? I understand the many reasons why you’d want to work alone and I feel the same most of the time, but just wanted to know what your results have been selling at JVzoo without recruiting affiliates.

    Thanks

    • IM With Susan Velez March 1, 2014 at 7:45 am #

      Hi Dorian,

Welcome to my blog and thanks for picking up my ebook. As for how many ebooks you can sell on JVZoo by yourself, I can’t give you an exact number. You still will have to get eyes on your ebook, but as you start selling you will have some affiliates approach you to ask if they can sell your ebook.

However, you won’t get any super affiliates right away. You have to continue to sell and have some great conversions before anyone like that will approach you. That is the reason I ventured out without worrying about affiliates.

It takes time to build up your name and your brand. However, as long as you continue putting out great quality products and getting your ebook in front of buyers, eventually you will get people to notice you.

It just depends on whether you want to take the slower route or go out and find someone to JV with. The great thing is that it’s totally up to you how you want to run your business. I just preferred not to wait around on waiting someone to help me release my products.

It doesn’t mean that I don’t continually look and try to build up relationships while I am releasing products. I do both at the same time. I just don’t have a lot of time to be sitting around waiting on someone to say that they will help me promote my products.

Hope this answers your question and I hope you get your ebook out there soon. null

      Have a great day.
