So I have taken the time to do some keyword research for my niche site duel challenge that I have going on with myself. Yes I know I am crazy for being on competition with myself…but sometimes that is the best way that I move forward on things.
So anyway, I wanted to create this video on using Market Samurai for uncovering profitable keywords for my niche site duel challenge. Hopefully, I will be able to find a great target keyword and a great niche that I don’t mind writing content for.
As I mentioned in my last niche site duel article, I will be writing all the content for myself. At least until I can see if this will be a profitable site or not.
If you have been considering creating a niche site, but not sure how to start doing your keyword research, you will want to watch this video.
Now, I don’t want you to think that you can’t create your own niche site if you do not own Market Samurai. You can get started using the Google Keyword Planner tool to uncover profitable keywords.
Watch Me Using Market Samurai
Market Samurai just makes the process easier and faster. However, after watching the Market Samurai video, you will realize that I do NOT rely 100% on any software tool. I actually take the time to go to Google to find out how many local monthly searches the keyword gets.
Since I will be devoting some time to my niche site duel challenge, I want to ensure that it is going to be worth my time, so I won’t rely completely on the software.
Creating My Site
By the time you watch this video, I have already setup my first niche duel site. I do not reveal the niche that I chose in the video above.
For that you will have to sign up for my IM Training Membership site.
I will reveal exactly what I am doing with my niche site.
I’ve decided to use WordPress as my platform of choice for my niche duel site. I absolutely love WordPress and it makes it simple to add new content to the site.
How I Plan on Monetizing My Site
Truth be told, I have not monetized my site at all yet. I figure why bother monetizing it when it is a brand new site and is not getting any traffic yet.
I know that most people monetize their website the minute that it goes live. I on the other hand like to wait a little bit until it starts to get traffic.
Once the site starts to get some traffic, I will be monetizing it with Adsense. Now I know what you’re thinking. There are better ways to monetize a website.
Eventually, I will be adding more affiliate products to it. The niche that I chose will work well with some CPA affiliate programs.
Who knows, if I am actually able to rank the website and make money from it. I may end up creating a product.
I am not sure what path I plan on taking with the new site. First I need to try to get it ranked on Google, then I will decide the future of the website.
So anyway, this post was just a quick update to let you know about my niche site duel competition update. I also wanted to share my using Market Samurai video of how I use it to uncover keywords.
After watching my video of me using Market Samurai and you feel like you want your own copy…you can do so by clicking here.
So do you use Market Samurai to uncover niches? Have you ever created a profitable niche site? If so do you still own it or was it affected by the Google updates?
