It’s official I have finally completed my second week of school, it has been a rough one. Yes I know that it is only the second week.
However, I have found myself getting thrown back into a routine of:
- waking up at 5:00 a.m.
- Eating breakfast
- Rushing out the door
- Fighting morning traffic
- Listening to instructors and taking notes
Getting back into the rush hour traffic makes me realize why I don’t want to commute to work. I have to commute about 20 minutes one way to get to the community college I attend Monday through Friday.
It has been over 5 years since I have had to commute in the morning rush hour. Let me tell you, it is much safer to work from home.
Not to mention that I have had to get used to a new routine that allows enough time to work online, do my homework as well as go to the gym at least 3 times per week. (Yes I need my exercise on a weekly basis)
If I don’t get a chance to work out, then I get kind of bitchy, at least that’s what I’m told
Exercise is my way to deal with stress and I it had helps me think better, I love it. Not to mention I love the way it makes me look and feel.
Being 40 years old, I have made a comitment to stay in shape. (not that I have ever had trouble with my weight) I have always did some type of exercise, mostly jogging though.
But once when I was 39, I joined a gym and started lifting weights and made a goal to get into the best shape I have ever been.
I now have muscles that I never knew existed.
No I don’t look like those bodybuilding women. Let’s just say that my body is toned and I don’t mind wearing tank tops or shorts because my arms and legs look good. (No I am not conceited or vain.)
It has been a rough week, but I finally have a long weekend. With this Monday being Labor day weekend, I am off from school.
This means that I get to work on my online business. I have so much to complete.
Things I Need To Do This Weekend
There are so many things that I need to do:
- Schedule some blog posts
- Set up some articles on my PLR Store
However, I made a promise to myself to get at least one thing completed.
I need to create a step-by-step PDF for my flipping websites product. The PDF will explain how to set up the sites that I flip on Flippa.
Once this is completed, I will have everything that I need for the inside of my membership site completed! (It feels like it has taken me so long to get everything set up the way I want it to.)
The one thing that I am a little worried about is making sure that everything works the way that it is supposed to.
This is my first product and I have used DAP as my membership script.
Getting the right membership script was something that I spent several days researching. I decided to go with Digital Access Pass because they have their own affiliate program.
Yes everyone who purchases your product can automatically begin promoting your products as an affiliate.
I have heard that getting affiliates is one of the best ways to spread the word about your product.
I know that eventually the built in affiliate program will come in handy.
I may not utilize it for this product as I will be launching it as a WSO on the Warrior Forum…but who knows maybe for my next product.
I didn’t seem to have any issues getting DAP installed, in fact it was extremely easy to do.
Who knows maybe I will have to create a video that walks you through step-by-step on how to install DAP.
Issues With My Product
It seems like there is always something that I am running into when it comes to creating my product. I am actually considering outsourcing these problems, especially, since I don’t have a lot of time to do it myself.
One of the things that I am experiencing troubles with is getting the header graphic installed in the membership site. I am using Optimize Press (the first version) as the theme for my product.
As most of you know, I outsourced my graphics.
Well they got the graphics completed and they actually look great. However, I can’t seem to customize the back end of the membership site to fit the header correctly.
It stretches all the way across the top of the membership site.
The width of the header is not long enough to fit clear across the page, it is 977 x 175.
So when it is stretched clear across the page, it stretches out the image and makes it look terrible.
I can’t stand the way it looks. I tried to use some CSS code to customize the width of the page, however, was unable to accomplish what I wanted it to look like.
After browsing on the Warrior Forum, I found someone who claims to be an Optimize Press and DAP expert. His thread has several positive reviews.
So I thought that I would get him to help me get the back end of the membership site to look exactly like I want it to.
I could probably do it myself if I just spent more time on it.
However, these days, I don’t seem to have a lot of extra time to spare to try to figure things out on my own.
Time To Share
Now that I have shared about this being my Labor Day weekend and I am off from school and everything that I need to get accomplished, I would like to know.
Were you able to get everything completed this week? Do you plan on working on your online business this weekend or are you spending the last official weekend of the summer having fun?
