Start Customizing Your Email Optin Forms Like A Pro
I always start from the top down on my customizations. This helps me keep track of the changes that I want to make.
How to Customize the Engagifire Email Optin Forms
Double click on the heading text and you will notice that a text customization box pops up.
This allows you to change:
- Text color
- Text size
- Line Height
- Text Decoration
- Basically anything that you can think of.
I suggest that you play around with the different text customizations…do not worry, if you make a mistake you can always undo with the undo arrows on the top left.
The undo feature kind of reminds me of Microsoft Word. You know when you make an error in Microsoft Word, you can always revert to the previous state by clicking on the undo font formatting feature.
Well Engagifire has that feature as well…
This means that you can customize your Engagifire forms without worrying about messing it up.
If you are anything like me, then you will love this feature.
I always tend to make errors, I never read directions before I start. I tend to jump in and start doing without thinking.
Move on down to the image or video section. I recommend adding either a video or image to your optin.
I have learned from my own personal experience that these types of optins tend to convert better than one that has just plain text.
So scroll on down to add an image or video.
Changing The Video On An Engagifire Email Form
Click on the video…I suggest that you choose an optin form that already has a video in place.
When you click on the video you will notice a little settings icon…click on that.
A video customization box will open up on the right side. On the very top you will see a place that you can enter your own YouTube video URL.
If you have the Engagifire Pro account, then you can add all kinds of different animations to the video….if you decided not to upgrade your account, don’t worry, you can still create some awesome engaging email forms.
You can make the video bigger or smaller. Be sure to hold down shift on your keyboard when you are resizing your video, otherwise you will make it look distorted.
Adding An Image to Your Engagifire Form
So you do not have a video but chances are you have created an awesome membership card, eBook cover or reports cover with Cover Action Pro and you want to add it to your optin form.
Not a problem…you can customize your form anyway you want.
Click on the video that is on the form right now and right click on your mouse.
This will bring up an options box like the image below.
Select delete…this will delete the video from the background.
Okay now we want to replace the video with an image.
Click on the media options on the left hand side.
This will allow you to insert different types of media such as:
- Sound Cloud Audio
- Video Embed Code
Left click and drag the image option the section where the video was before you deleted it.
You should see this:
Now it’s time to double click inside the image element and your graphics library will open up.
You get instant access to tons of images inside of the Engagifire library.
Don’t worry, you are not held prisoner to using their images. You can easily upload your own images.
So just click on green plus sign and browse your computer until you find the image for your product.
If you have saved it to your desktop then you can easily drag and drop it inside of Engagifire and then click on insert image.
Now you will want to resize your image so that it fits perfectly on the form.
Don’t forget to hold down the shift key when resizing your image.
Create Enticing Bullets points and Features
No one is going to want to sign up for your email list if you don’t give them a reason to do so.
When learning how to create an email optin form with Engagifire, take the time to add some bulleted features of why someone should become a subscriber to your list.
Put Yourself in Your Visitor’s Shoes
What would make you want to sign up for someone else’s list?
You’ve most likely signed up for several email lists and may still be on some of those lists.
- Why did you subscribe to other people’s email lists?
- What possessed you to give that person your email?
- Did you sign up for their freebie?
- Maybe you wanted to spy on your competition and reverse engineer what they were doing?
- Or maybe they were providing real value and you wanted to learn as much as possible about Internet marketing?
- Maybe you signed up with a fake email address?
It’s time to start thinking like your website visitors.
What would make them want to optin to your email list?
Here’s a great article that can help you learn how to write fascinating bullet points that will get you more optins.
Read that article, it will help you brainstorm so you can come up with some great bullet points that will want people to subscribe for your freebie.
Most people do not like to give their email out…so you are going to have to find out what you can do to provide value to your target audience.
Don’t worry, you can always create two different optins and create an A/B test to find out which one is converting better.
This will take all the guesswork out of trying to figure out where your subscriber came from.
Great you got your features on your email optin form…now it’s time to add your auto-responder code.
How to Add Your Auto-Responder Code to an Engagifire Email Optin Form

Log into your auto-responder service and grab the HTML code for your campaign that you are creating and will be using for this optin box.
I can’t go into detail on how to find your auto-responder HTML code, because everyone uses a different auto-responder service.
Next just control A to highlight the entire code and then control C to paste the code into the HTML code box.
Great now your form should be complete, it’s time to add it to your website so you can start building your email list.
There are two different options to save your email template.
Save as template: this will allow you to re-use the form for a different campaign later on down the road
Save: it just quickly saves your form so you can use it right now, it will not be saved as a template
Choose one and and then click on close.
Assign your newly customized opt-in form to a domain of your choice.
