If you’re anything at all like me, then you absolutely love free targetted traffic to your site.
One thing I’ve noticed since not using any automated tools or services to build traffic to my site is that it takes a lot more time for me to manually interact with others and build backlinks and traffic.
While I don’t necessarily focus on sitting behind my computer and building backlinks like I used to do.
In fact, when I first got started internet marketing that’s all I did. I avoided reaching out to other bloggers and I hid behind pen names.
Now I realize that it just doesn’t work that way. I just wish I would’ve learned it sooner, who knows where I would be today?
Looking for More Traffic
I’ve been looking for new places to drive more traffic to my website. So I wanted to share the links that I’ve found that can help you drive traffic to your site.
Now I’ve learned how to do blog commenting the right way, about 3 months ago when I first started my blog.
Truth be told my main sources for driving traffic right now are blog commenting and Forum traffic.
I’ve been looking at my traffic results and one of the things that I’ve noticed is that I don’t get a lot of organic traffic. As a matter of fact, I get very little.
One of the main reasons I think that I don’t get very little organic traffic is because I don’t focus on SEO.
While I definitely don’t want to focus 100% on SEO traffic, I do want to improve my organic traffic and I know from the past that ranking high on the search engines can definitely drive more traffic to a site.
How do I know this?
Well in the past I had a junk cars site that was making over $1200.00 per month and all the traffic came from Google.
The downside to having all my traffic come from Google is that when Google made their updates, my traffic fell like a rock.
I didn’t take the time to bring it the site back to life because the affiliate program that I was promoting ended….so I basically just let the site die out and never renewed the domain.
As many of you know that I’ve been using free WSO’s to build my email list and while it has been working great to build my email list.
It’s been a challenge to segment the list from freebie seekers to buyers.
I’ve been working on building a relationship with my list, but still my open rates suck.
I guess that’s one of the reason that most people say that freebie seekers are not the best to market to.
So anyway I decided that I need to start implementing other methods to drive more traffic to my site.
Now I personally won’t be using all these links to post my site to because I just don’t have the time, so I decided to share the links with you.
If you have been wanting to get more free targeted website traffic, you may want to consider using some of these links.
Grab Some Coffee
Before I get into the links that you can begin using, you may want to grab a cup of coffee or your favorite drink so you can take your time to browse these high PR ranking sites that can help you get more traffic to your website.
I’m going to be sharing some awesome links that you can literally begin using right away to drive an insane amount of traffic to your website.
One thing to keep in mind…just because you begin using these links does not mean you will get instant traffic.
It takes time to begin seeing the results. But if you’re consistent with your link building you will begin to see your hard work pay off.

Of course when you use these press release sites you want to ensure that you take the time to write a compelling article that will want to make people click through your article and hopefully opt into your list.

I’m a huge fan of Web 2.0 sites because they can rank so easily.
If you provide quality content and maybe throw a couple of backlinks at them you can have a Web 2.0 site ranking in just a couple of days.
I have personally found that ranking a Web 2.0 site is much easier than ranking my own site…especially if I’m going after an extremely competitive keyword.
Blog Commenting
As you know I’m a huge fan of taking the time to comment on blogs.
The following 6 blogs are the blogs that drive the most traffic to my website.
Before you run over to these sites to begin leaving your comments, you want to ensure that you take the time to leave valuable comments.
The only way to be successful with blog commenting is to leave valuable comments, otherwise your comment will not get approved and will be considered spam.
I won’t be posting the PR rank for the blogs.
But these sites are the ones that are driving the most traffic to my blog….so I highly recommend that you start commenting on them.
Adrienne Smith
Social Media Sites
I really don’t know that much about social media and have been taking the time to learn as much as I can about them.
So I won’t be posting any information on how to use these sites, I will just be posting direct links to the sites themselves.
There are plenty of other people who are much smarter on using these sites than I am.
Several More Free Targeted Website Traffic Sites
Now these are just a few of the sites out of thousands of sites that you can begin using to build backlinks and drive traffic to your site.
We all know there are several social media sites you can join as well as other types sites you can drop your link and begin getting more traffic.
I just wanted to share some of the sites that I found while doing some research.
My goal is to begin using 1 or 2 of these sites to drive more traffic to my blog.
My Website Traffic Goal
Now I’m not going to be straying away from blog commenting and forum marketing as those methods have been proven to work.
Plus I really enjoy using those methods and they have helped me meet some fantastic people.
I’ve been using those methods consistently for about 3 months. So it is time to begin implementing another strategy that can help me drive even more traffic to my website.
I’ve learned in the past that the best way to drive more traffic to your site is to use at least 1-2 methods on a consistent basis and do that over and over.
In fact that’s the same method that I used to build my junk cars site up to $1200.00 per month.
Once you see that it works you can slowly begin implementing more methods. The last thing you want to do is overdo your link building strategy.
This will cause you to become frustrated because you won’t get the results you want. Building links and driving traffic to your website is a lot of hard work.
Besides with me going to school full-time, I just don’t have the time to do a lot more than what I’m currently doing.
I have to find methods that work and focus on using them.
Which Methods Have I Implemented?
I’ve already started using some of the methods that I found above.
The sites that I’ve been using and submitting not only my links but sharing other people’s links as well are BizSugar and JustRetweet.
I am still learning my way around them and have only been using them for about a week, so I can’t really tell if they have been driving traffic to my site.
Plus I’ve only submitted two of my own links to them.
I find myself sharing other people’s content more than I share my own.
Time To Share
I know that there are literally hundreds of other free targeted website traffic links that I’ve left out.
These are the sites that I found while doing some research online.
Hopefully I’ve provided you with a good list of links that you can begin using to drive more targeted traffic to your site.
The best part is that most of these link building methods are free.
So let me know what you think and if you liked the research that I did and found the links useful don’t forget to share this post.

Hello Susan,
Wow this is really a detailed post! All the mentioned tips or methods to get free targeted website traffic is really cool. Blog commenting and guest posting are really a best way to get traffic and build backlinks.
Thanks for the share
Hi Kuldeep,
Thanks I know that I’ve left out guest blogging and a lot of people love this method. I haven’t personally done any guest blogging…guess that’s why I left it out.
Glad you like the list and I currently do use blog commenting as a method and yes it works great. Have a great day.
What a resources Susan. Thanks so much for creating this list. Many will take advantages from it

Hi Susan. Nice list. I’m surprised that you didn’t list Pinterest. It can get you nice traffic. I see that you already use pictures, so there won’t be too much additional work. Try it and see if it works fine for you too 🙂

Hi Adrian,
I thought I included Pinterest but I guess it slipped my mind. Thanks for noticing that.
To tell you the truth I’ve never had a pinterest account and it would be something else for me to learn.
Right now I’m learning a couple new methods to implement in my business, but I need to take it slowly. Maybe later I will delve further into Pinterest and learn more about it.
I know that so many people are having success with it. Do you currently use it and if so are you happy with the results you get?
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment on my blog, have a great weekend.
Yes, I use it. If you check my latest blog post – the one under my previous comment – you’ll see a Pinterest how-to article. I don’t write about topics I know nothing about or about sites or tools I don’t use 😉
I use it for 2 different niches (2 accounts). One gets a flood or traffic, the other one not that much. Right now I plan to improve my pics 🙂
A great weekend to you too!

Hey Susan,
Wow girl, what a kick ass post now. That’s awesome that you shared all these different sites along with their rankings and categories so that at least some people can benefit from them if they have a preference.
I also of course appreciate you listing my blog and I LOVE hearing that you’ve been getting some visitors from mine. See, that’s why I love blogging and I remember a top “guru” telling me a few years ago to NOT use CommentLuv and don’t place your social sites in your sidebar. You want to keep all your traffic on your blog and you don’t want them going anywhere else.
So his blog was very popular and he blogged every single day. He also is a top money maker in his company but to me a very selfish guy. It was very obvious that he was ALL about the money and not helping anyone else. How sad is that. If anything in his company ever changes I feel for him.
Thank you again for sharing these with us and my blog as well. I’m not familiar with all of these sites of course but I will be checking a few more out. Never hurts right!
Hope you’re enjoying your weekend Susan.

Thank you Susan for the shout-out. I was so surprised when I came here from Biz Sugar and saw my blog here.
I really like how you have categorized the different sites. I also love retweet for my new Twitter account that is for my blog vs. my personal one. I use it often.
I also would recommend Pinterest for driving traffic Of course you must remain active there to get traffic too.
I’ve noticed you have flare here, what is that? You got me very curious about that one Susan.

Great post about how to drive traffic to a site Susan,
You’ve really done an awesome job here. We’ve always heard the saying that traffic is the life blood of internet businesses and, that’s so true because, no matter how beautiful and well designed your site is, if no one visits it, its as good as dead.
Among all the methods of driving traffic you mentioned above, the ones I’m using are blog commenting, blog communities, social media and another one that works which you didn’t mention here is guest blogging.
Getting search traffic all boils down to performing adequate keyword research. If you do it very well then, you must be getting organic traffic.
A very awesome post as usual Susan, thanks for sharing :).
Hi Theodore,
Yeah I know I didn’t mention guest posting, I guess because I really don’t know that much about it. I haven’t used that method yet for getting more traffic…I know several people have used it and have had good success.
I use pretty much the same methods as you, I am just getting into social media and blogging communities. Eventually I plan on doing guest posts just not right now.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and commenting, I hope you enjoy your day.
It is possible to overtake you, and it will be started from here.
Among all the methods of driving traffic you mentioned above, the ones I’m using are blog commenting, blog communities, social media and another one that works which you didn’t mention here is guest blogging.
Hi Eric,
I’m using pretty much the same methods you’re using to get traffic to my site, except guest posting. I know that I’m probably missing out on traffic.
I just haven’t ventured into that part of marketing yet. Glad to hear that those methods are working for you. Have a great day.
Susan, you’ve come up with such a interesting post. Getting traffic to blog is not easy one. we have to work hard and put more effort to achieve our goal. The links you mentioned here for getting traffic is really awesome.
Thanks for sharing such a useful post…
Hi Nirmal,
Yeah getting traffic is the challenge. Most people who get started online don’t realize how much of a challenge it is to get traffic to a site.
At least I had no clue about it when I got started 3 years ago. I hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for taking the time to comment.
A great list, Susan! I have been using Just Retweet for about 3-4 months now and have increased my organic traffic by 300%+. I don’t completely focus on SEO, but some posts I do optimize for specific keywords, which those are the ones driving the most traffic.
Thanks for leaving the list of blogs that you comment on, too. I have not heard of a few of them and plan to check them out.
Hi Adam,
Glad to hear that JustRetweet has helped your SEO. I just started using it about a week ago. I really like it.
Yeah check out those blogs they are awesome and they all provide quality content that I’m sure that you’ll love.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and I’ll talk to you later. Have a great day.
Hi Susan
Wow! this is a huge list of websites, I’ve never used infographic directories before, not even image sharing sites nor pr release sites. Oh you didn’t mention pinterest, i don’t use if but people visit my blog from the platform anytime someone shares the picture on my blog post.
As for PDF directories, I’ve only used Scribd and Slideshare but that was just once, I’m in a dilemma mode 🙂 but i think I’ll go back to it anytime soon. I’m more active in communities and my favorite are bizsuger, blogengage and blokube, blog commenting is not left out too.
I never expected to see my blog here, Wow! thanks for the Shout out, I’m glad mine is among one of the blogs driving traffic to your blog.
Justretweet rocks and its result doesn’t take time, bizsugar is also a perfect platform. If you should get a high number of votes, you’ll make it to the homepage and this will drive some targeted traffic.
Have a wonderful day 🙂

Yeah I’ve used PDF sites before but not lately. I’ve been meaning to get back into them soon but time always seems to be a factor.
I’ve only been involved with JustRetweet for a little while and I’m really loving it.
Your welcome for the shout out and I hope you have a great day.
Hi Susan, what a comprehensive list. I have also used a few of these but no where near all. I have done some pdfs and slide shares. And also use quite a few retweet sites like just retweet, empire ave, and viral content buzz. I keep forgetting to share stuff on BLog Sugar (gotta head over there now) and similar sites. There is only so much time in the day right!
But Triberr has really worked for me. Takes a little work in the beginning but you get better connections, shares and meet other bloggers :>

Its nice when I visit your site you are always providing great information I didn’t realize about this sites that you mention in your post.
I do see that there is a lot work but in the long run it will pay off, I just recently sign-up with Linkedin and I’m still learning some of the features that they provide.
I also feel that when you make that connection and developed a good relationship with people and provide them with good material or service everything should workout. But I’m a firm believe that patience and work is a key to someone success.
So Susan thanks again and have a nice day. Until next time!

Wonderful list that was a lot of hard work i suppose. Have you checked them for follow back or not. The major problem with high pr websites are that they add your website link but they do not follow back.
Anyway google has stopped page rank update this year. Let us see what they do it with next year.
Hi Saurabh,
Actually I really didn’t check to see if they were do follow or not, so you may want to check that before you begin building your links.
Yeah Google is always changing things every time we turn around. Which is one of the main reasons I no longer focus on SEO. I don’t want to place my business completely in Google’s hands.

IM With Susan Velez invites you to read…Completed My Sales Copy, OTO And Downsell Pages
Hi Susan,
First of all, I think your posts are becoming more and more attractive because you find better and better pictures for them.
I am not a big fan of beautiful pictures. I am interested only in relevant pictures but I do agree that a beautiful picture may have a big impact on the visitors.
Then I must say that you became more open and your image is more and more likable. This will surely help you on a long run.
Now, about the links
I am interested in Press Release sites but I still don’t understand the concept well. What is a press release and how to use it?
PDF sites. I use and like Powerpoint and I upload all my powerpoints and even some pdfs to Slideshare. I sometimes transform a blog post into a pdf and upload it there. I think I should do this more often.
However, I wouldn’t mind using a second pdf site. From all those listed there which one do you use more and recommend?
Blog communities
Bizsugar and Blokube seem interesting. Are they free or paid? How do you protect your content inside a blogging community? On the one hand you want to share your posts there. On the other hand you must be vigilant because other people can take your articles and post them on their sites under their name without giving you any credit.
Could you tell us something about Bizsugar?
Have a wonderful day

Silviu invites you to read…Do You Know How to Make a Short URL?
Hi Silviu,
Thanks I’m glad that you like the images I’m starting to use…I have to admit I don’t spend a lot of time browsing for great looking pictures.
As for press releases, I’ve only used them once in the past. The one that I did use was a paid one. I remember writing an article about a product or a service and then submitting it to the press release. They send it out to people on their email lists and I ended up doing very well with the article that I got.
I probably would’ve done better had I sent it linking to a squeeze page. However, back then I was not building an email list.
I love pdf sites and have used DocStoc, SlideShare and Isuu. If I had to pick a favorite I would choose SlideShare. It seems to get really great rankings and very quickly.
I am currently a member of BizSugar and really like it. It’s a free community that anyone can join. I have only been a member of BizSugar for about two weeks. I have submitted 4 articles; 2 of which were mine.
I have found that sharing other people’s articles as well as your own works the best. Plus you want to vote on other people’s articles as well. I guess it’s kind of like blog commenting…you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours.
I really like it…I’ve been meaning to join more communities but time wise, I can’t spread myself anymore than I already am.
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment…great question by the way. I will talk to you later, hope you enjoy your Sunday.
Thanks for the great advice. I have already visited a handful of blogs that you recommended above and left comments. I learned a lot from some of these sites and I’ve actually made some changes to my website to improve performance. LOTS of great information. Thanks!

IM With Susan Velez invites you to read…Outsourced My WSO Sales Letter Graphics
This is my first time on this site, linked in from warrior forum and found this site very nice.
The links are all good but he who is willing to suck honey from the rock, must have a very strong arms and strong axe and should not care for the consequence it take s to open the rock; but must focus on the hitting the rock heavily and systematically; such is the way for building traffic from all these sites; yes it takes time and lots of patience to make money online.
If I may ask you: why should you drop that your domain that was making good money for you.
Google or affiliate short coming should not be the excuse for dropping that domain. Do you know you can have another affiliate that could pay you better or equally on that domain.
Cheers.
Hi Boluji,
Welcome to my site. Glad you like the links that I share.
As for why I dropped the domain it was just a niche site that I used a lot of backlinking strategies that worked when I first set up the site. Once it got penalized the site was no where to be found on Google. Besides the affiliate program went away.
I did put Adsense on the site for a while to see if I could make money from it. But if a site does not get any traffic, there is no way it’s going to make money. So I figured since it wasn’t getting traffic or making any money I didn’t want to take the time to bring it back to life. As I said it was just a niche site.
That’s why I dropped it…much easier than working on a site that I was not passionate about. Thanks for stopping by I hope you have a great day.

Hi Susan,
I really enjoyed your article and both identify and empathize with you. We share many similar experiences in this business, it seems. I have a few questions, not necessarily in order of importance, but more in order of how they come into my mind.
1. Why have you not mentioned Pinterest?
2. Have you ever tried using traffic exchanges? Before you choke on that “dirty word/phrase,” consider what I wrote from my experience on my website. It is quite a surprise to many.
3. Would you be interested in becoming a living, breathing, contributing community member in a small, but thriving social community that has been around for a very long time? I know I can speak for everyone; we would LOVE to have you there and I’m sure you would find it very stimulating, as well. We have some great writers in the group. Let me know and I’ll be honored to introduce you.
Dave
Hi Dave,
Welcome to my site and I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
First of all I didn’t mention Pinterest for no particular reason. I had mentioned several sites, it would’ve been impossible to list them all.
I’ve never done traffic exchanges and have never really wanted to. I’ve heard a lot of people talk negatively about them…so never ventured into that area.
Not sure about becoming a member of a community as I really don’t have a lot of extra time to spare, I have so much going on in my life right now. What community are you talking about?
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day.

Hi Susan,
Thank you for the reply, and I understand very well what you mean about there being so many (or too many) to list. I mentioned Pinterest, because it has become so wildly popular and continues to grow in popularity since its inception only a few short years ago.
Regarding traffic exchanges: They are most often used incorrectly by those who expect instant wealth with no work. They can be used very successfully as a PART of the overall strategy if they are used correctly. My website as listed in my contact information on my first comment explains a strategy that will work for people if they follow it.
The community is Adlandpro. I have included my profile link in my information with this reply. If you click on the community link and visit the wall, you will see what is so unique about the people there. We have business people and visitors from all over the world. I have been with them since 1998, long before Facebook!
Hi Dave,
I appreciate your offer about the community, I’ve actually heard of Adlandpro. I never tried using it though. Glad to see it’s working out for you. Right now as I mentioned not really able to fit anything else into my schedule.
If I ever have more time, I will definitely check out your post and hit you up. Thanks for stopping by again and letting me know about it, have a great day.

It seems you forgot to add ezinearticles and squido warriorforum and many order sites as such or what do you think about them.
Hi Susan,
Really nice article.
I seen Forums are major part of your traffic. I really ignored Forums till date. Also it is interesting to know about infographic traffic.
Social Media and Commenting are the evergreen sources for all. Right now I am concentrating on these two sources only. Hope I will check other sources which you mentioned.
Thanks again
Hi Sagar,
I’ve had really good success with Forum marketing, so I definitely use it. Although I don’t use it as often as I should.
Let me know how your social media and commenting come along. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day.

Hi Susan!
Sincerely this is the first time I will be seeing this, using infographic directories and pdf sites for backlinks. I’ve been using Social Network to drive traffic to my blog, and sometimes I do blog commenting,I hate using forums for backlinking as some forums will require you to have a certain number of post before you can post a link.
Thanks for making this known to me. Infact I have bookmarked your blog.
Hi Augustus,
Social networks work really well for driving traffic, I just started using them not too long ago.
I personally love using forums, although I don’t use them as often as I should. Yes some forums require you to have a certain number of posts before you can put a link in your signature, but I think it’s worth the time to get your post count up.
Glad you liked the sites, let me know if they help you get more traffic, have a great day.

Work Online Academy | Targeted Web Traffic
Great post! Love the reminder that it takes time. Don’t we all hate that at times? We are finally at the point of experiencing a lot of different traffic sources that work, but we’ve had to dig around a little. Some are free, some paid, but all well worth the work online experience.
Hi Jenn,
Yes unfortunately it does take time to see the results of our hard work. I think that is what makes it very frustrating and causes to quit.
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment, I hope you have a great day.

This post was very helpful! I’ve only been implementing a few of these strategies, which is actually a good thing because it means I have so much room to grow.
I like the image sharing sites specifically. Being in the fitness niche, people love photos, especially before and afters. I think I’ll be signing up to those immediately.
The web2.0s are something I’ve started already. A lot of people have been talking about private blog networks of Web2.0s. Do you take it to that degree? I guess it’s considered gray hat, but I don’t see a problem with it if you’re creating useful and unique content.
Good Morning Al,
Glad to hear that you like the post and have found the links helpful.
I’ve never been in the fitness niche, but I know what you mean about fitness photos. Who doesn’t like looking at a photo of someone who is in shape?
In the past I had a blog network of Web 2.0’s and it did work well. The thing that I did was put unique content on all the Web 2.0’s, I didn’t use spun content.
I haven’t done that with this site, I just don’t seem to have the time to do those types of linkbuilding projects anymore. Let me know if you do build a blog network of Web 2.0’s and if it works well for you.
Have a great day.

Hey Susan,
This is a very helpful post. Starting out it can be difficult to get backlinks. With just a little effort you can begin to generate them yourself.
I really like power point sites. They seem to attract a lot of views and drive pretty good traffic if they are informative and visually appealing of course.
There are some that I have either forgotten about or never heard of that I may need to look into.
Really good post! Take Care!
